Default March 13 with nine games.

Good morning, the Sunday OOT has the same amount of games as yesterday. The day starts off with a terrific eastern conf. game
followed by the outdoor game where the Sabres are the designated home team. This allows to make for a continuous tripleheader
on the SN channels with the Flames game in prime time.

Pens up one nothing. Didn’t see them doing much this year but they continue to surprise.

Pens have the 2nd highest points % in the NHL since December 2. They could very well beat the Rangers in round 1 and give the Canes a run for their money in round 2.

An Outdoor game? They're still doing these?

Have I mentioned how much I like Tanev over Broadie?

Hard to keep track of all the outdoor games over the years but I think this one has to be the least visually pleasing and the most poorly executed. Just not a good effort all around.

Not liking the half empty Hamilton stadium? Or the half assed entertainment? Just introducing the team and pointing at planes isn't scratching that itch?

I am shocked

Screw you Toronto and thanks for probably ruining a second big bet for me this month. Coincidentally both of my big losses would be TO losing to Buffalo. These two games should have been easy wins.

Both Toronto and Buffalo seem to be competing to see who can play worse

The Flames spoil me, this is really poor hockey

Why are they breaking up the play each period at 10 minutes and blowing the buzzer? I've never seen that before.

Becuase the ice surface tends not to be exactly the same on both sides of the ice in outdoor games, and also the sun hits the ice differently depending on which side of the ice you're on. They want to be fair to both teams.

Ahhhh I gotcha. You'd think they would just wait for a whistle or commercial break. It's such a weird break in the play. Imagine being on crazy shift and having it blown down.

What happens if the next whistle isn't for another 2 minutes and there is a goal?

one team gets 12 minutes with the advantage vs 8 minutes for the other for that period - wouldn't be fair with it being a non gameplay related thing.

It's just one of the different rules of an outdoor game.

But no extra penalty? Both players off for 2 minutes on a 4-on-4?

NHL really needs to tighten up on punishing players who target the head.

Nice chip off the boards by Thompson to hit the empty net and make it a 5-2 Buffalo lead with 2:25 left in the 3rd. Toronto still on the powerplay for anohter minute.

Post-whistle scrum with 1:43 left in the third. Someone was already getting a penalty before it started.

I hate when a perfectly clean hit has to be answered with roughing. I get that Bunting saw his meal ticket get laid out but that was as clean as it gets.
