They played together at the World Cup as well as for Team USA at the World Championships a few years back.

Few world championships too. They're good friends, think they roomed together in Belarus

Ha ha ha! Larkin is clearly a big fan.
Johnny poking him with his stick seconds earlier was the best part lol

They're good friends IIRC.
In before the Gaudreau to Detroit rumors.

All in all that was a great game. They were the much better team in all but the first 5 mins in the 3rd period. I think the class difference was noticeable tonight.

Also, a pretty good game by Stone, nice to see him draw in for a game. I hope Kylington is back soon, but this might also be an opportunity for one of Valimaki or Mackey to play tomorrow.

I thought that was going to be the NHL's easiest SO of all time but Markstrom had to be sharp in the 3rd...not easy after doing nothing for two periods.

It’s funny because if you asked me before today who Dean Morton was, I would have had no idea.

Probably a sign of a pretty good referee.

7 points up on L.A. now, and we still have a game in hand.

13 points up on the Oilers, lol.

Not if Shesterkin keeps up his play too

Yeah, tough for Marky to take down the pillow fort and cancel tea time with his teddy bears in the crease. He was having such a fun time there in the first two periods.

Does anyone know why the ref is retiring 80% through a season vs after the season is over ?

Great game!

Just hope that the Flames have a lot left in the tank for their game against the Avs tomorrow...

... or should we just consider that one a write off?

The train is rolling!
Tough to giveaway the puck when you never have it in the first place.
