Edmonton's coach looks like he's in a perpetual state of asking if you know who his father is.

That Johnny goal happened right in front of us and man, was it ever a MOMENT! I brought a few friends who are teachers (I myself teach Grade 3/4) and this was a great gift to blow off some steam after a few very challenging years at school. Hope everyone enjoyed the game! Glad we dusted those dum dums!

Bringing in Kane was just the Oilers management testing the waters to see how forgiving the hockey media would be to them. Babcock incoming this offseason.

Ya, no kidding. I view it as Ruzicka getting a promotion seeing as he gets to play between two really good hockey players. It was a great move by Sutter, Ruzicka has the creativity and hockey IQ to mesh really well with those two.

McDavid is not the guy to lead a team to victory, he doesn't make his line mates better. He has never adapted his game to actually help out his team.
Holland needs to resist getting a goalie. He needs to decide who he's going to sell, because that team badly needs a full rebuild. Its broken and the room is broken, playing like you don't care is just a bad beat man.
|
Exactly. He’s a solo flyer. That was fine in junior because he could literally win games on his own. Not so much in the NHL. He’s a human highlight reel and a stat chaser. But it doesn’t translate into wins because he can’t play a team game. I’d start the rebuild by moving him. Draisaitl is a much better player — terrific hockey sense and creates opportunities for those around him.

He was just kind of gawking around...the puck went behind the net and he didn't even keep an eye near it....it hit him from behind and he looked totally surprised. That's your NHL reffing quality these days.

If I'm babcock I'm asking for the highest paid coaching contract in the league + a million a year. And its a guaranteed 10 year contract because Babcock can't save the Oilers and you know the rest.

WTF, Nurse gets the second assist for being the one who shot it in and hit the ref losing track of where he was?
That fits with the Oilers's never earned motto.

Sutter is absolutely a master at pushing the right buttons on players. The only thing that matters is how Mangiapane reacts.
I think the players on this team only care about winning and not ice time

Still waiting for Nurse to start winning the multiple Norris trophies, he is like the rest of the Oilers, something special is brewing there.

Holland would demand that he top that with +2 million; have to be number one at something.
