Thing about that icing. Flames had to keep their guys out but the Oilers had put McDrai together and they were tired so they went off, making it an easier line coming out. they couldn’t take advantage.

Gudbranson had McDavid lined up there but backed off.

Could have nailed him

I love Toffoli's one-skate downwards-facing fist pump celebration. He's clearly had lots of practice

When he played with J. Garnett Hathaway, it was a pretty effective line.

I think the NHL is unofficially okay with pick plays. They never get called, even though they're basically the definition of interference.

TBF, they have to be 100% sure it will not be called for whatever.

I feel like it's a mandate from Sportsnet to be jubilant about the Oilers at every opportunity. I know it's suppose to be a neutral call, but it's coming off more as an Oilers broadcast than Flames.

See, now with the McDrai thing, the Lindholm line gets to go against Ryan/Kane. Good matchup.

I don’t get all the Hrudey hate. I think he tries to be balanced no matter who the Flames are playing. Give me that over an embarrassing homer any day.

You’re a pro hockey player with the last name Malone, and you don’t name your son “Joe”?

Sutter needs to get Tkachuk to simplify his game. Trying to be waaaaaay too fancy out there.

I like that Tyler is reminding the rest of the group how easy it is to light up these clowns.

Hopefully they follow suit.

He comes across as a genuine hockey fan. I don't mind listening to a guy who enjoys the sport, even if half the players on the ice aren't the good guys
