I'm a little shook TBH. Went into that episode thinking it was going to be crap. Only reason I watched it was an ad showing some of the characters coming back so thought I'd give it a rip. An hour later I was floored.
Legit jumped out of my chair a bit when "PICARD!" came acoss the loudspeakers on the bridge when he was annoucning he was there.
Only thing that bugged me....when it was mentioned that borg tech was used in the conctruction of the new ship I was thinking "oh ya, that's a great idea, that's gonna work out well".
Interesting. I don't know if the Borg would exist in a mirror-universe, could they? They would be like a hippy commune, maybe? Different species are invited to take part?
I just watched Picard Season 2’s premiere - I didn’t really get into season 1, but like a few others that posted earlier, I enjoyed this one and look forward to the next episode. Other than Lower Decks, it’s been a long time since I was anxious for the next episode of any Star Trek show. Maybe I got sucked into the fan service, but I’m ok with that.
I don’t believe this is spoilery, but I’m guessing that Guinan’s bar had the ‘10’ on the outside as a reference back to 10-forward? If so, a nice touch.

Yeah, I think they even showed that it was 'Forward Street' and her address was #10. So, I agree, nice touch.

Well the first episode of Picard S2 felt like the first proper modern trek since the end of DS9 (ignoring Lower Decks), that was awesome. I'm just worried that going back to the present day time travel well will kill such a great start, really hope they do something interesting with it
One thing is that I welcome back traditional Trek ship designs.
I outright dislike ship design in the Discovery era.
When I watched the first season of STD, the first time that I saw the ship go all flippy flippy, I thought "oh, that's cool". The second time, I thought "that doesn't make any logical sense why they would design a ship that way". The third time all I could think of was everybody in that part of the ship screaming when that happens.

add on the disconnected parts and Books ship being all flippy flippy. Even when they showed the federation ships of the day, they looked ugly and at the same time sterile and without character.
