Elden Ring is my first Souls game, and I am loving it. I usually scale the difficulty back so I can experience the story in other RPG-type games, but this is such a different experience as the story is pretty non-linear. I have been fed my lunch by so many different bosses, it is so frustrating but somehow awesome at the same time.
Absolutely gorgeous game, I'm loving the map design and all the enemy designs too. Watched a tips/tricks video last night that helped quite a bit, I can already tell the depth is going to be insane and I will be sinking a lot of time into this.
Started as a confessor as I had no idea what any of the classes were and it looked cool. Looks like I can do a tanky paladin-type build which works for me as I suck at doing spells in video games and mostly stick to melee.
Can't wait to go home and play!
So much of the fun is finding the weakness or in some cases exploits that make the bosses or enemies so much easier, like staggering a giant and then thrusting your weapon into their chest for a giant attack or a mini boss that can be run through other enemies poison traps for an easy kill etc.
Was fighting Radhan last night who has been a huge thorn in my side for so long, I kept coming back after not being able to kill him and then I was fighting him of horseback last night and on like my 15th attempt he just bugged out and instead of attacking me I was chasing him like he was running away from me and I just kept following and attacking, a little cheesy way for a boss to go after over 100 attempts or so but F that guy.

Spoiler!
I found Margit's shackle after killing Margit. Boy that sure would've helped make that fight easier .
I know everyone, including myself will be locked in to Elden Ring for the foreseeable future but Guardians of the Galaxy will be coming to Game Pass March 10.
It's actually the opposite for me. Though I think I'll finish Horizon: Forbidden West before starting Guardians of the Galaxy.
They will not at this time, they are consecrating on the core series for houses. They've only announced Atreides and Harkonnen with two more to come, and that Ordos is not in the plans right now.

Ordos is purely for nostalgic reasons as that was the 3rd house of Dune 2, pretty much the very first modern RTS as we know it today. The developers at the time pretty much admitted they made up the house from fragments of other houses in the Dune Encyclopedia.

Ya, Dune 2 is a masterpiece that started the RTS genre, I have found memories playing it over and over again as a kid with my dad before Warcraft and C&C were a thing.

I have been enjoying HZD: FW. It has been a solid sequel so far. The glitches have been pretty funny though. Just finished this epic battle and after a cut scene there was a guy still in a meat grinder with his arm coming out of his head.
I still struggle with AAA titles not being more polished when they come out. As we have all discussed at length before, I feel those studios are lazier now because they know they can patch it.
I'm working my way through my third legacy dungeon in Elden Ring and there has been a pretty big jump in difficulty. I think I need to upgrade my weapons or grind some levels as it's getting pretty tough. That being said, this is one of my favourite gaming experiences ever so far.

I’ve completely lost track of where I am storywise. I’ve done two legacy dungeons, accidentally unlocked a couple divine towers I don’t need yet, I think I started one of the endgame boss fights by accident too so that was fun, and I got people left and right demanding I quest for them and I write nothing down.
I’m mostly wandering and killing what I can as I come across it. Seems my quest progresses are stuck until i can level up to survive longer in that SE area. Also find and use the icerind hatchet, its special move is almost game breakingly OP
I just finished the third main boss in Elden after finding a really awesome rune farming spot where I pumped 12 levels in 2 hours of farming (along with upgrading my Guts sword to +10)... majorly addicted to this game even though it's my first Souls type game. Never played a game where dying didn't make me want to stop playing.
Where are you farming? The site of grace right before Godric is nice as you can quickly kill 1 giant and 2 bandits to get ~1200 runes every minute or so. Rinse and repeat.

Bestial Sanctuary area, I think it's called. There's a teleporter behind the Third Church Grace that will transport you there, and each small mob in the area drops about 1000-1200 runes, and they have almost no HP. My Guts sword from horseback takes two heavy swings to kill each one (though they will absolutely murk you if you aren't careful). In the 1.5-2 hours I farmed there, I got over 140k runes.
Edit: there's a Grace right in the building as you get transported so don't forget to grab that as well.
