Yes lets talk about ways to satiate Putin.
Forgive me if I am not super excited about findings way to appease Putin out of a problem created by Putin.
The solution is the that Russia turns around and rolls their ####ty military home.
This whole thing pisses me off and makes me wish The West had listened to Patton.
The country is a ####ing ####hole.

Swift is just a messaging system however to authorize wire transactions. There are alternative messaging systems. Russian can pivot to and use CIPS which is China's banking messaging system and of course the whole point of crypto is to set up alternatives to these sort of things.

Ya, which I don't see happening, revisionist history. Maybe they could have agreed to a fair and open vote, then if the vote was yes NATO/EU gets Ukraine and Russia gets Crimea; but we are long past that type of corporation.

I mean we all get it, no one here likes Putin or what Russia is doing, but you're just being super unrealistic, and I'm not sure what it accomplishes other than maybe some cathartic purpose for you personally where it feels good to keep posting "#### them all" over and over again.

I'm still in Moscow. There's no collapse. Yet. Ruble lunged, but prices didn't really jump, at least yet. People are terrified. Future is uncertain. I was to enroll my daughter into first grade of English school, to start at September first, but they said they put enrollment on hold. I also still can't renew the US passport which expired when she turned 5, over a year ago. Other than this, I feel no collapse. Yet

Are you well stocked with food and supplies? I'd be loading up on non-perishables. Like, months and months worth. Also, things you can barter(cigarettes? not sure on that). Expecting things to stay normal sounds like a big gamble. Even if Putin pulls out today, I'd expect months of sanctions to make life pretty difficult on you. The west isn't just going to remove them immediately.

Well, there is literally nothing this thread can actually accomplish in this conflict so we might as well lock it up.

A lot of the tanks being deployed were manufactured in the late 80s (saw lots of the broken down models referencing 1989) which means they were designed in the 70s.

You're ####ing right it is cathartic as ####.
But as has been mentioned, this thread means #### all in the scheme of things.
You do you.
I'll do me.

It is easier said than done to just go out and buy $100 billion worth of crypto. If you were sitting on massive reserves, would you exchange them for Rubles?
And then there is the other small problem, which is that they don't have any money to buy it with.
Their rocket is skint!

Exactly, I'm more worried about Russian air and artillary at this point.
Coridoors mean nothing if they're not defended, and the Russian's will refuse to let Ukraine defend it as they can ship arms up it. Russian's can't be trusted because they'll want to delay or slow down or destroy convoys.

I've seen a lot of T-72's (1970's) T-80's (80's) and T-90s (depending on the variants these are the newest tanks in the Russian arsenal). Though there are rumors that the T-14 is in production, they're not deployed here.
Their anti-aircraft stuff that I've seen is pretty modern.
I've also seen a bunch of BMP-3s and 2s, which have gone through modernization but based on a 80's design.
I've also seen a ton of BTR-80's which are a late 90's design but probably their most modern personal carriers.
I can't comment on the airforce though I did see a couple of Su-35's and Havoc attack helicopters which are pretty much front line modern aircraft.
