I was glad to see this one, however I have to think that a large majority of these "seized" vehicles are either so badly stuck or basically in immoveable condition. So yeah its fun to see abandoned equipment, but its probably not going to be much use for the Ukraine Army unfortunately.
Seeing how things are playing out tactically wise I can now see how things are coming together.
The south appears to be at or near Russian control, strong control to the east, the Russian forces are fighting and getting strong resistance from Ukrainian forces in the northern part. It's all moving south into the capital region.
Once that happens most likely in a day or two, I can than see the massive convoy to the east circling the capital with such force than the government is forced to give up control or go through street fighting like no other with an eventual loss of control.
Tactically speaking this started in 2014 with Crimea and Covid probably delayed it but we can now see what Putin was seeing.
Hopefully the sanctions, the pressure, the additional weapons from the west and the motivated Ukrainian forces and people can push or keep this as a viable country in some capacity but realistically it may end up like these other places who are ruined.
Tragic, predictable looking at it now and enraging.
UN general assembly votes on a resolution damning Russian invasion of Ukraine with extremely rare unity.
Only votes for Russia's side were Eritrea, Syria, North Korea and Belarus. There were 34 abstains, but very few notable ones outside of China and India. South Africa I guess is worth a mention.
Not sure if mentioned already, but it's "mud season" or "rasputitsa" in Ukraine. That in part explains why Russian vehicles need to use main roads to move around. If you try other roads, things can start looking like this.

Needs to be said that Stubb was and probably is incredibly clueless about politics outside EU. To the point that he was de facto banned from speaking in public east of Finland by his staff during his tenure in the foreign affairs ministry, because he couldn't be trusted to know the diplomatic nuances and cause problems.
I mean he's not wrong, but it's still the opposite of an expert opinion.

Is that the official website? I did some googling and found sputniknews.com.
There's also a Canadian based Russian propaganda website run by a prof at the university of Ottawa, globalresearch.ca, this is where you can learn all about the nazis running Ukraine through their Jewish head of state.
Operation Barbarossa was seriously hampered by mud in WW2, it's nice to see it helping the Ukranians as well.

If the negitiatiosn are pointless, and Russia won't stop until Ukraine is utterly defeated, what real options exist? The west is forced to join in, and provoke nuclear war, or Ukraine is left to fall completely...and other outcomes here?

I can't imagine Putin, even if he planned to stop the war at some point, telling people that. He's very much a poker player, and isn't going to just start showing his biggest cards. Whether he intends to take over the entirety of the Ukraine or just using the threat of a total takeover to secure takeover of a large portion of the Ukraine, his public statements are going to be the same.

Assassination of Putin? Military coups? There's already a bounty on his head and I imagine that number will grow in the coming weeks as sanctions are acutely felt.
