Default Flames Schedule - The next 10 Days

So, quite the schedule coming up:

Habs, Avs, Oilers, Caps, Lightning and Detroit.

It was great Flames got both games v The Wild and it certainly made me a little bullish on the boys.

Thoughts predictions on these 6 games. I feel like 3 wins is the minimum expectation, and hopefully one of those is against the oilers.

I think 8 or more points would be outstanding.

Really they just need to take care if business and Beat Montreal and Detroit.

Then if they go 2-2-0 in the other 4 games against the playoff teams it’s still a good stretch.

As long as the beat the Oilers, I won't complain about any of the other games

This actually doesn't even seem crazy, which is awesome.

When looking at these games I would add the 2nd Colorado game which is the 2nd half of a back-to-back against Detroit. The stretch of games beginning and ending in Colorado is the toughest stretch of games for the remainder of the season.

I can live with losses against the avs, caps, and lighting, but if we lose to the Oilers again, I'm going to be devastated.
I know they should just represent 2 points, but god damn do I hate them.

6 games in 9 days, including 2 B2Bs, with Tampa, Wash, and 2 games in COL on the list. And the last game includes travelling to COL in a B2B.

The schedule just doesn't get any harder than that.

Markstrom is on pace for 66 starts. Previous career high is 60. Only once has he been to the playoffs and it was 43 reg +14 po = 57.

Which is to say I hope Sutter cools that pace down, starting with the MTL game. Vladar should also play WAS and DET.

Looking further ahead I don't think it's hard to plot a 19-11 ratio, which would land JM at a more reasonable 61 starts.

The Flames have yet to have an answer for McDavid and Drisaitl. Hopefully they have one in the upcomig game.

I wouldn't even be worried if they go 3-3. They should beat Montreal, Edmonton, and Detroit, but the Avs & Bolts will be very tough games, and the game vs the Caps is the 2nd half of a back to back.

These guys are good enough that they can win any game they play. But opposing teams are also paid to win. Would love to see 6-0, but that's a big ask.

As for Marky, agreed that his starts need to be managed; this team is in big trouble if wears out before or during the playoffs. Look at Carey Price last year; one of the big reasons why he was so dominant in the playoffs was that he was out for a long time during the season and was fresh come playoff time.

To expect the Flames to win out will be a far stretch (OK, probably not anymore), and don't forget they travel to play the Avs in Denver for the 2nd time in a week on a back to back on the 13th, so 7 games in 11 days.

If they can get 9 or 10 points out of the 7 games it will be vey good. Anything extra will be excellent!!

Zadorov wasn’t at near the level then as he is now. I’d love to see him crush McDavid open ice.

They outplayed them badly last game...Koskinen of all people stole it. The was the Drai winner that was BS and an EN goal or two. Play the same way with some finish and it's a laugher

Losing to the oilers is so ####ing annoying, and I don't know if the Flames outplaying those pieces of crap badly in both games makes it better or worse.

Please for the love of Buddha don't lose to those losing no goods anymore.

If you add in the second Colorado game, and they go 7-0 in the next 7 games, the Flames instantly become THE team to beat in the entire NHL, without question.
