I think the Flyers have the record for games without a loss with something like 32 back in the 70s ...

How many games do we have left this season?

Screenshotted from the ATL.

Funny thing is: I thought this same thing about the Wild’s game tonight…they played real strong and probably deserved better, but Markstrom played great.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Wild went on a bit of a streak after tonight…they worked super hard.

It's interesting because Sutter kept saying how Minnesota plays the same way that we do.

If that's the case, then I'm glad we have the real deal; Minnesota must have the off-brand version...

Their top line is good, but a hair below the Flames. After that its a bigger drop off to their next level, compared to the likes of Mangiapane, Toffoli, etc. And Calgary’s D and goaltending are also a level better.

Didn't the Wild have a forum on the NHL.com site? I used to visit it a lot back like 10 years ago.

Another impressive win...way to go boys! I love how opposing fans are forced to grudgingly compliment our team in recent ATLs. There's often talk about how tough (dirty?) we are, how we bully the opposition, how we make the other team earn their chances and how we are built for the playoffs.

Feels great cheering for the team that is doing the bullying, and actually has enough skill and depth to properly complement the team toughness. The difference Zadorov, Gudbranson, Coleman (and now Toffoli) have made for this team are huge. But, the biggest change is Sutter. He's totally raised the bar on expectations for every player and has everyone buying into a system that has won cups in the past...and it's not boring hockey. This a fun team to watch. GFG!

Missed the first period and caught the rest, my god what an absolute steal it has been early on to have Toffoli. Landing him this far before the deadline is an incredible mid season get for Treliving and I give him full marks for attempting an all in approach. Top to bottom and pound for pound one of the heaviest skilled teams in the league IMO who plays a fully committed 200 foot game. That is going to be one heck of a matchup for anyone in the playoffs and the flames will have plenty of stretches here to continue to crank up the heat to their game. Incredible performance by Markstrom tonight too, that off balance scramble into a left pad then glove combo save that appeared to be no look was unreal to watch!

This team continues to amaze. Such a different feel than 18/19 this team feels like it is going to be ready for the playoffs.

In Sutter we Trust

That team was playing .500 after the ASB not .950

Thx for mentioning it as I missed it. Went back and watched it. What an authentic and lovely thing from a guy who has worked is ass off to earn his opportunity while dealing with hate most of us can’t imagine

To be fair the numbers are close and so by no means are they a lock for this but Mangiapane and Tkachuk are both on pace for 40+ goals. Only Iginla has scored that many for the Flames this century (Cammy 39), the last time teammates did it for the Flames was nearly 30 years ago (Reichel, Fleury and Roberts- and Nieuwendyk had 36 in 64). Of course 4 of them did it in 87-88 but we won't go there

Lindholm tracking for 38

Trending the right direction down the stretch.

Every other year they trailed off as the year progressed post-ASB.

I'm most curious as to how they stack up against Colorado in Denver. Will be a good barometer.
