ETA:
Not sure about Sutter’s “2 breakaways on one shift - score on the first one” logic.
The funny thing is that had there should have been a penalty shot, but the fact Coleman was dragged down was what gave him the second breakaway anyway (because he was behind the play after picking himself up).

He may be a bit old school sexist - other reporters ask equally leading things inviting him to complement players. They also get shut down but not quite that badly.

Kristen Anderson seems like a nice person but I wish she would take a few extra minutes to prepare and phrase her questions better before a presser. Seems like she always changes her mind mid-question and ends up getting flustered when she stumbles on her words.
Hailey Salvian on the other hand is excellent

Sexist is kind of a reach there. It's like saying people who rip on Cassie Campbell or Leah Hextall are sexist too. I too find Kirsten kind of fumble on questions too.
Edit: I also think there is an intimidation factor from Darryl. Except from Eric Francis who is completely oblivious to that sort of thing.

Sutter is the opposite of sexist...he will call out a dumb question no matter who asks it

A lot of them are in fact sexist - you can tell when they complain about things that they don’t with other CC/PBP (especially with Leah Hextall - people calling her “shrill” - that’s just how a woman’s voice is and it’s not “shrill”. And some (like mine) is legit. But, it’s just a guess, so “reach” is fair. When I say old school I mean he’s just not as used to women reporters, and doesn’t react the same. Wills asks the same inane questions all the time.

100%. Kristen is a great writer, and has been a great member of the Calgary hockey media.
But IMO she really struggles in her press conferences with Sutter.
I don't recall her having issues with other coaches or players, but she always seems to fumble her questions with Sutter and sometimes it's hard to tell if she's asking a question or just making a statement about the team.

The issue with that question is it’s the kind reporters always ask and usually get a response to from any other coach or player, but Sutter hates them. Thing is though, for some reason almost the same question about Coleman was fine.

I think this question was the same thing though. She kind of almost answers her own question, fumbles through the words a little bit, and ends with a really soft question "What can you say about him?"
For Coleman the question praises him as a person...but then also asks a specific question in terms of "How has Blake fit in this year?"
It's just about making sure you're asking Sutter a specific question, he doesn't really answer the open ended, non-specific questions from anybody.
I also am not sure Sutter has really been happy with Richardson's play this year...there is a reason he's only played 25 games, and sat for 10+ straight games. So don't think he was going to provide a glowing review.
