My WFT moments with Bloodborne were many...it was my first From Software game that I forced myself to stick through (I tried Dark Souls and gave up the same night)...but Bloodborne's advertising campaign was amazing and I wanted to stick with.

The very first villager killed me...just a rando pitchfork guy shouting "Away, Away!"

I know people don't want to refer to wikis or how to's when playing a game, but I can honestly say Bloodborne is one of my favorite games of all time...and having completed all the Dark Souls games now, I think its just an amazing experience.

It's not easy, especially in the beginning for beginners...but its an incredible series of games....really worth the time to learn and experience imo

Though I didn't have my frame rate display on my monitor going and I was getting some vertigo triggering so I'll have to see what framerate I'm actually getting, if it's triggering my vertigo that can mean the framerate is swinging around a lot.

Also a terrible PC port because it LETS you use the mouse and keyboard, but doesn't tell you what ANY of the buttons are on mouse and keyboard, it still tells you to use right trigger to do something and you're on your own to figure out how to do it on keyboard/mouse. I still don't know how to do some of the things from the tutorial area.
Do you have G-sync? Not sure it would help with the stuttering though.

####. Really disappointing to hear tbh.

I've just finished Frozen Wilds. Both Zero Dawn and the DLC at 100%, all the trophies, everything ... I think I've triggered every damn campfire and machine site on the whole map. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Wonderful world building and narrative, very captivating and immersive. Great stuff.

Feeling a bit like a child on Christmas morning now with Forbidden West. Can't wait to dive into this!

I do, but yeah it doesn't really help with the stuttering.

Hopefully they can clean it up and get the frame rate more consistent, but how many times have we seen PC ports get ignored?

Doing the same thing myself! Finished the original story when the game originallyt came out on the PS4 and now working through the main campaign + Frozen Wilds on the PC while Forbidden West sits in my pile of PS4/PS5 games waiting to be played.

Really enjoying Elden Ring so far. Challenging but not unfair. I just got to the second boss though and feel like I need to level up some more. They’ve really nailed combining open worlds with more typical dark souls level designs. The addition of the horse and mounted combat is awesome as well.

how would you say it compares to the other Soulsbourne games?

I've been told that Sekiro is probably the hardest game...as a comparable, which From game do you think Elden Ring is equal too?

The game definitely feels closest to dark souls 3 to me but pulls on sekiro for certain attacks and stealth slightly. I’m not far but all the mini bosses I’ve done have been manageable but the big bosses are pretty tricky. There are new summon mechanics though and that helps.

I refunded the game, I'm a PC gamer without a PC controller, I prefer a keyboard. And I have to say it makes me irrationally angry when I pay $80 for a game and the key hints are for controllers.

Plus the default key bindings were god-awful, even after googling, I couldn't figure out how to get back to the main menu to change them or quit. So I used the task manager to close the game, then asked for a refund.

I also felt the story and the notes everywhere didn't make much sense, but I was so irritated by the controls it made enjoying the game really hard.

Yeah I beat the second major story boss today and made it to the second big full area. Pretty sure this game is a masterpiece. (Elden Ring)

Always a shame when a game just makes a lazy port like that

You can change it to keyboard prompts in settings under display I believe. I had the same rage until I found that out, I then rebound every key as the bindings were terrible.

Ya but I couldn't figure out how to get back to the settings menu, and I was so frustrated I wasn't interested in the game anymore.

Who doesn't put the jump button on the space bar?

The performance on PC is definitely flawed and they have to fix it, but it hasn't been too bad for me thankfully

This is my first Souls game, and I'm hooked. I can't remember the last game that had me thinking about it at work and counting down the hours to play more

I picked up Horizon Zero Dawn Complete version last year on a whim when it went down to $15. Best $15 I think I've ever spent. I'm so invested in the world and the story now, Forbidden West was a day one purchase for me, and so far, it's been fantastic. I'm about 20 hours into it, and there's still a ton of stuff to do. I like to take my time and do all the side quests and flush out all the characters.

As a guy who mainly plays JRPGS, I gotta say the non cringey dialogue has been a refreshing change

Oh man I am 100% hooked on Elden Ring.

Played until almost 3am last night.

I LOVE Souls games, so this is right up my alley - played for hours last night, and was just exploring - haven't even fought a boss yet.

Did try to take out the mounted boss right at the start, got him down to 1/2 more hits left, but my horse just keeps randomly disappearing which really screws me
