Do you think the US should determine how Germany gets it energy?
It's Germany's screw up. But I don't think the US should be telling other countries how to get energy.
Because they are allies in NATO and the Russians are a threat. Germany's screw up affects everyone. The US (under Trump) considered the project a security risk to Europe. How can Germans expect the U.S. to use its military to defend their country while they also cut lucrative gas deals with Russia, the country from which it needs protection?

On Thursday the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union imposed multiple new restrictions on exports to Russia in response to its war against Ukraine. When it comes to high-tech items, the restrictions are quite sweeping and are designed to curtail development of Russia's defense industrial base, military, and intelligence sectors.
