Or, Ruzicka had looked good in the lop sided games once the game was in control. The tight games he was really unnoticeable.
Fine with these moves, those guys will need to play on short notice in the stretch, so keep them game ready and engaged. I suspect Stone at some point soon too draws in.

I am guessing at this point not until there is an injury, or once the regulars are resting up for the playoffs.

Well, there were a few defensive lapse last game, so maybe Sutter may send a message?
Stone isn't all that bad when he does play.

Actually very pleased to see Ruzicka sitting.
There was a play last game in the first period where he watched a Canuck reach to play the puck infront of him along the boards and had an obvious opportunity to lay a nice hit and he just swooped away.
It really stood out. Couple that with a few other instances he look disengaged in battle plays and I thought, that is a player who is forgetting what keeps him in the lineup.
Wonder if Sutter saw the same thing.

Stone hasn't played in 3 months. He would be wise to go Stockton for conditioning assignment to get some games in

Hey gang, long time no. Happy to answer any Wild questions you may have. Really excited for this home and home (I’m flying to Minny for Tuesday’s game). Every time I’ve watched the Flames this season they’ve impressed me.

Big test for Flames tonight:
1. I think Flames are .500 after a regulation loss this year. Need to be better after a loss.
2. Wild will be keen to end their losing streak
3. Weird lineup changes send a message, but not their best lineup in a tough Western Conference matchup
4. 1st game back after a road trip
5. OK, #4 is total bs

Yep, hope the flames put Thursday behind them and clean up their play- they’ll need to be tight against the wild. Need a win tonight - don’t want a losing skid after that epic winning streak. Plus the garbage oilers won, need to keep them down the standings where they belong .

I'm very much in the minority, but I would like very much to see Stone play every so often and a lot more of Vladar.
The #13 and #14 forwards all have played proportionally more games than the #7 D and #2 G.

I’m with you and hope if the Flames keep rolling they cycle a bunch of fringe players into games down the stretch. Injuries are bound to happen and we have a deep pool in Stockton to choose from who are doing great things in the A.

Worst three last four games
1. Dube 42%
2. Monahan 46%
3. Toffoli 46%
Best three last four games
1. Mangiapane 73%
2. Backlund 72%
3. Coleman 72%
Ruzicka is actually 5th best at 65%
Can certainly see why they changed the third line, but it hasn't worked yet.

I mentioned this another time but Toffoli was not acquired to play with Monahan and Dube. He cost way too much for that.

The MAX JUJU failed so that's done. Another bright side is Zamler finally got to ditch that horrific Profile pic. Now the Flames start another win streak tonight. NO MORE LOSSES EVER!!!

Jeez, hopefully the refs saw some footage and thought "Oh wow we screwed the Flames."
Doubt it though.
Sutter putting big, experienced bodies in the line-up, I expect a rough-n-tumble game.
I'll say tough game, but 4-2 Flames.

I don't see why not. Toffoli was acquired to help round out scoring beyond the top line.
