Appealing my suspension

Despite all the winning lately the Flames only have the 8th best points percentage in the league and incidentally the 8th highest point total. They won't win at this rate (10 game win streak) forever, but they need to keep collecting 4 points every 3 games here for the rest of the season if they want to be a team that you expect to make the playoffs and win a round.
Usually at the end of a win streak a team will play a game or two that they shouldn't win, but still do. Today wasn't that day, but this was a more even game that could have went either way. So hopefully there are a couple more win's left on this streak before it snaps, and that they get right back on winning when the inevitable does happen.

Turn it the other way. Think about what has to happen for them to catch up. If Vegas goes on a 10 game winning streak, the flames need we need only 16 points in 12 games to keep pace.

The west is, overall, also more competitive with fewer teams being constant point-donors like there are in the east. The playoff picture is almost already settled in the east.

I think because of the Covid pause, we didn't quite realize how far back they had fallen with the slump they were in. It obviously wasn't unrecoverable but they were on the outside looking in. But that may have been due to games played.
