This might deserve its own thread but the Speed Skating tonight will be our last chance to hear Steve Armitage call an event

I haven't been following these Olympics too closely but this story on Valieva really was a downer:

I love the video feeds from watch parties here at home that CBC has been showing. ThT crowd in Whistler for d’Artois was great to see

I feel really bad for all the guys that got beat up in the half pipe today. That was a tough day of competition and it did not look fun at all.

Looked so windy there, so many more crashes compared to the women’s event yesterday

That is shame because those parallel races are fun to watch. If they could add a jump small jumps into the course it would rival ski/snowboard cross.

After two runs in the 4-Man bobsleigh the Canadian team piloted by Justin Kripps is in the Bronze position

I agree they are super fun to watch, apparently there will be a meeting later to see if it can even be rescheduled for tomorrow

Ivanie Blondin wins Silver in Women's Mass Start Long Track Speed Skating!

For those that don't remember, she was also a medal favorite in this event in 2018, but fell mid-race in her Semifinal run.

REDEMPTION!!

Silver for Blondin! Armitage’s last call ends with a Canadian medal!

At this point, I'm pretty confident in going ahead and proclaiming the 2022 Winter Olympics as Canada's worst Gold-medal haul since 1994, when they won only 4 Gold medals.

However, they have tied their total medal haul from 2014 (25) and are just one medal below their total haul from Vancouver 2010 (26)

Great race from Blondin. She was just a couple strides away from a gold. Fantastic effort.

de Bruin & Bujnowski very likely to finish just off the podium in 4th or 5th after 3 runs pending some sort of disaster despite 3 very clean runs.

Starts & bobsled technology just not there for Canada.

0.72 below 3rd

The men's curling final last night was amazing. Both teams curled over 90% and were the best all week. Gushue wasn't beating those guys no matter how many times they played.
