The guy I know who's brother was arrested in that Coutts raid 100% believes this, according to his brother.

I honestly believe this is a vocal minority and I hang onto that a lot.

Most tokens probably even the main stream ones aren't far off ponzi schemes. the fact that it's cratering is probably a bad thing, it means the grifter got away with whatever they sold those for and would be laughing all of the way to the bank (if they were allowed to use the bank  )

I had a relative send me a box of chocolate and candy branded from Chapters/Indigo - and it was some of the worst stuff I have ever tasted. I'll take an American Hershey's (contains no) chocolate bar over that trash.
Best part was that it was in a ton of extraneous plastic packaging, and the price tag was still on it...I appreciate the thought of 'fancy' treats at the holiday, but seriously pick up some mega-size bars at 7-11 and save yourself 20 bucks. I'd happily crush a coffee crisp instead of all that.
At the point, the only reason for Chapters is for truckers to use the can.
