I see no moral issue with beating up someone on the Ducks

I'll be honest, I was fully expecting the result of the review on the ice to be switched from a double for high sticking to a major for elbowing + intent to injure.

I was actually thinking it could also stem from a trust fund for the Ref's with that Wideman hit.

It was a pretty bad flail IMO. Intentional or not, he needs to keep control of his elbows and arms. A bit reckless. He's also a first offender. Seems fair.

Hamonic got a really bad one in Chicago, not sure if any suspension came of it

there have certainly been worse elbows...Perry got thrown out of the winter classic recently for one

Exactly. Mackinnon got away with a minor penalty in the game. Should have been a suspension.

not even a fine? this is why I laugh when people pretend certain players/teams are not held to different standards

Kind of a weird hit but Patrick's head took a pretty good shot.

Have a feeling Ruzicka will have a few $100 bills in his stall.

Ruzicka’s was accidental as well. Mackinnon’s looked way worse IMO, though, it probably has more to do with the outcome. The fact it was Nolan Patrick, and his concussion history.

Honestly I’m okay with Ruzicka’s fine. Have to be careful with your elbows, for sure. I think it was warranted.
