So, the Monahan line obviously looked better though there were no goals as a unit. But it's funny, while the passes were better and there were more good chances, the thing that popped out for me for Monahan was that little flip pass to himself he tried. It was pure instinct and confidence and even though it didn't work out, told me his head is in a better place.
If they can get Dube to move to the net more, like his two on one with Mangiapane or on his pass from Toffoli, it will work.

Didn’t get to watch lastnight so really appreciate all the videos capturing the awesome plays! This team is something else right now, consistently awesome! I don’t see this being unsustainable at all, nothing in their play indicates they’re playing over their heads. Feels good to see!

Was there for games 3 and 4, man.....18 years ago. Still great memories. Can't believe I missed game 6 as I was off auditioning for colleges.
18 YEARS. Christ.

March 1st, I believe. The same day that the masking policy is also scheduled to be lifted.

You are mistaken. 2004 is not 18 years ago, it is only a couple of years ago,
otherwise I am old balls...

I can still recite "In Tha Dome" in it's entirety, so it's clearly only been a few years at most since 2004

Yeah I thought Dube was the play killer more often than not last night for that line ... all three of them played well though.
Toffoli putting pucks into spaces that his linemates can skate to was fun to watch.
Smart player.
Honestly don't know if I remember a time when I find all four lines interesting.

I have a distant memory of "Whiner, Whiner" chants at the dome for Gretzky.

You can tell Dube has the tools and just hasn't figured out how to put it all together consistently. He makes a lot of mistakes, but also puts forward the extra effort to recover from most of them. In the end, it is a net zero but leaves you with the impression that he "could" be really good.
I get a real Kobasew vibe from him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him be a 20 goal scorer at some point, but also a frustrating player to watch at times.

With BC's announcement yesterday of capacity restrictions being lifted this weekend, I wouldn't be surprised to see Alberta follow suit earlier (they talked about this on the broadcast last night).
Also, the Jets are returning to full capacity tonight.
Saturday is Gio's return to the Dome. It would be nice if it was in front of a full house.

Darryl is rather careful not to number his lines or his pairs. He always refers to them by name, certainly in pressers. He might when not observed by media, but every quote I've ever heard he uses the names of the players in the pairing or line.

I saw that it was +235 if Toffoli scored in his Flames debut. Who made some easy money by putting money down on that?

I was referring to the Oiler fans who insist Zadorov is on the 2nd pairing.
