This is the first team in a long time that I'm not worried about having the lead. Not because I want them to prevent a tying goal or a closing goal. But because, frankly this team takes a lot of joy in throwing their opponent in the corner and stomping a mudhole in them on the scoreboard.

That alone is a major win for me.

Sounds like high praise to me.

Cail McLean was pretty pleased about Vladar on the Sportsnet960 post pame show.

Obviously, some Good Cop/Bad Cop messaging from the coaching staff.

To me, that sounds like "Sutter Press Conference Response 101"

It's gonna be a way better series against Colorado this year! Not to mention it being the 3rd round!

One of the things that Sutter mentioned when he took over the team is conditioning. I think the way the team is playing is evident that they are in much better shape. I think a good test will be how they come out and play tomorrow.

Toffoli was just asked "Any idea what are you going to do as an encore tomorrow?"

He gave the best answer ever: "keep winning".

Great win.

Columbus isn't a great team, but you knew they were going to play hard because of the Flames embarrassing them at home last game.

Very impressed with the team. Ruzicka is adding a lot to the fourth line and now with Toffoli on the third line, Calgary feels a very tough team to play.

Happy for Toffoli - great to get that first goal out of the way

Martin St-Louis says that, from what he's seen, Tyler Toffoli was the captain without wearing the C.

I can't figure out how to BB code a Tweet

Fun game! Good to see Toffoli get his first as well as Dube finally pot one in. That third line looked good today. Hopefully they can build on that.

This team is playing with so much swagger. Love it!
