It's parody, the hosts/co-hosts are pretty obvious tbh, and their twitter profiles are clearly anti convoy

I have no idea how the Twitter live feed thing works, but are some of the callers for real and they don't realize they are being trolled? Some of them sound pretty serious.

Several of them, there was at least a couple people who came in asking serious questions and their twitter feeds indicate they thought this whole thing was real. There was a guy running for MPP in Durham who was trying to have a serious conversation lol

Fundamentally the cause is selfish. Initially, ti was for an exemption to the rules everyone else follow. It's organized by known racists. Hell, one of the main guys has confederate flags in his garage. Another has endless racist rants on Youtube. Their goal is to overthrow the government and put themselves in charge.

But beyond that, they want all restrictions removed. These current restrictions are the only things preventing our hospitals from being completely swamped. So to advocate for that, you are accepting needless deaths through missed cancer diagnoses, delayed surgeries and treatments, low level care for those in the hospitals and a general savage beating on our already exhausted health care workers, which will be a real issue in the years going forward. Now, maybe you are perfectly healthy and it's not a personal concern, so you are fine with that, and I guess that's your call. I find that position reprehensible, and not what I expect out of a civilized society.

The restrictions will go away when we can handle it. Giving in to this gang of selfish thugs is the wrong course of action.

Eh, the racist stuff has nothing to do with the movement from literally everyone involved's perspective, and I'd contend whatever illegal stuff they're doing is way less than a lot of leftist protests of 2020 when cities' cores burned. But I would agree the methods theyre using suck right now. I wouldnt want to support them, but all the power to those that do

You answered your own question here.
The only thing anyone is trying to cancel is breaking of the laws, occupying cities and boarders and trying to overthrow a democratically elected government (What's more cancel than that?).

The initial protest annoyed a lot of people, but really most people were fine with peaceful protests at government sites, legislatures etc.
A lot of people were also sympathetic to the feeling that it's time to loosen restrictions, build bridges between vaxxed/unvaxxed and truckers should maybe have exemptions.
Even if I disagree with them, I don't mind people having those feelings.

But the true colours of too many of these people has come out.
What those people are doing goes beyond where a respectful difference of opinion can be maintained.

Also a few of the Ottawa organizers held a press conference in response to the Federal government implementing the emergency measures act. When asked about the RCMP finding firearms in Alberta blockade and whether anyone in Ottawa blockade has firearms they immediately started shouting lies lies and shut down the questions (go to 14:15 to listen to the question and their response).

I think the saddest part of the whole karen convoy crap is we have the olympics going on, this should be a time to be cheering for Canada, and the only thing the Canadian flag being flown reminds me of as soon as I see it on a pick up truck are the anti-vaxxer morons.

We were never much of a nationalist country to begin with, but now flying the flag has become synonymous with anti-vaxxers. It will take years to reverse the stigma.

I think some of them are owners of the businesses so they don’t care. One that seemed strange was one email address that appeared like a decent business with no weird anti-vax sentiments on it.
