FWIW Friedman said nothing about Chiarot. I think all the Chiarot talk is coming from the Flames being reported as interested in Chiarot before.

I think minus the brain farts too, thus the gudbranson comparison.
Defensive defensemen always get slapped with the ‘carried by’ label when they play on a team that’s no good. You might be right, but it’s tough to tell when the entire team is spectacularly bad.

That would be great trade for the Flames if true. Heineman is a long shot at being regular NHLer and the first will be most likely be in the 20th overall area. Toffoli also has 2 more years at a reasonable cap hit.

I think Sutter will view Toffoli as a top 6 guy, and I don't think he has that view of Monahan.
