Correct. He is sheltered. Which makes his lack of production even more concerning.

I don’t think that’s what sheltering means, and his lack of production is almost completely because he’s been put on a line without any support. He was put on a line with Mangiapane and Coleman for a game and immediately scored.

I have worked with guys like him before, and I hate it. If that makes me "jaded," then so be it.

I've only noticed him having a target on Stewart when he's on. Friedman is obvious, but I think him and Elliotte are genuinely buds. I don't think Bieksa cares for Stewart.

Yea, I'm not understanding the Bieksa hate.
The only thing I dislike about him is how much I've started to like him since he joined the panel. Guy provides awesome insights and amazing personality.
Bieksa is one of the few I could listen to all day, unlike Stewart

He's the only panelist with even an ounce of charisma and personality.

I totally get how someone would have dislike Bieska during his playing career, myself included. But as a broadcast personality, absolutely love having him on the panel. He will have a very long career in broadcasting.

Fans are having a hard time getting over him as the hated player, they'll warm up eventually.

Nope. Not for me. The guy carries himself like a dick, and is condescending and self-entitled in any interaction with the media that I have ever seen.
I have no time at all for people like that. Not ever.

On top of having friendly back and forths with Friedman, Bieksa rips himself more than anyone on the panel.
You're just seeing what you wanna see.
Bieksa has become the star of that panel

Bieksa shredding bingo is the most entertained and informed I can remember being by a panel between periods. That’s not saying much.

Hahaha.
When you get put on the 4th line and do not take faceoffs in the defensive zone or play against good players, you are sheltered.
What do you think sheltered means?

Flames power their way to a 5-2 win but let's bicker about politics and Kevin Bieksa.

I took in the last couple of games at the Dome. Great to be able to be back in there after a couple of years not making it there with Covid and the like.
One take away from seeing them live this year is how hard Trevor Lewis works out there. He works his butt off every shift hitting, getting his stick in lanes and blocking shots. He doesn't have a flashy game at all, but I really feel his work ethic must rub off on the rest of the team. Underrated signing I think. I could see him coming up with a couple big plays in the playoffs this year.
