Keith's career spanned 1992-2010, so he was only off by 2 decades. Goring played in the 70s and 80s, so you'd think he would remember if he played against Keith or not.
Remember Butch wore that paper thin weird little one off helmet his whole career….could have something to do with it….

Like Pat I don't think the Flames are in the Florida/Carolina/Colorado/Tampa class, but what addition(s) do you think could allow them to stand a chance in the ring with those teams?

IMO Pavelski or Miller could allow them to push one of those teams 7 games, if the rest of their game is tight.

Now the 4th line hasn’t been a liability but there is some room for improvement. I can’t remember a more complete team. As much as I loved the ‘04 team, this team is better. Can’t wait to see the run these guys are gonna go on!!!
Anything can happen in the playoffs, but this looks like the most complete Flames team I've watched since the early 90s. So much good happening right now.

What Sutter has been able to do with the lineup, feels like pure magic. Getting the best out of every player, and there is buy in throughout the lineup.

Great start to the home stretch, and hopefully they are able to continue this.
And they managed to keep near a .600 pace when they were playing the least home games in the league.

They're just equalizing with the rest of the league now.

That thing was probably worse than not wearing a helmet at all.

Miller definitely, means more than a Pavelski or Girioux with Sutters type of play.

Tofolli lesser but because he knows a Sutter type of style already.

You make a good point.... I bet if you recalculate it using TOI instead, Johnny has a better points per TOI.

I think Pavelski helps a team go on a deep run. He's helped many Sharks teams and the Stars before.

Keiths nick name is "Big Walt", coined after Walter Tkaczuk, a star center who played for the New York Rangers from 1967 to 1981.

Close but no cigar

They're pretty close. I think it works out to Johnny being ahead.

McDavid plays (last someone checked) 13%(?) more TOI than Johnny does.

Ok those Oilers comments are brilliant- the Cassie one particularly- I realize she faces a lot of criticism from all sides, but here the objection appears to be that she recognized what was actually a fairly clear goal as being a goal?

I’ll watch the first and see how it goes. Will quit watching after three Johnny wrist shakes. We got one PP last night against the Isles. I’m guessing the Flamers will get 4 or 5. BP Boy is already texting Gary complaining about no PP’s in the warmup.
This new excuse subplot is entertaining.

The apparent "Wideman-Effect Compensation" conspiracy.
