This team is something else. Top line has been money all year. Second half Backs is rounding into form, mangiapane is a cold blooded sniper and Coleman is getting hot. Lucic has been awesome, he and the third line have been beasts and I have noticed the opposition all year seems to give them a lot of space out of fear of getting stapled to the boards (side note where the hell did Ruzicka come from???). Now the 4th line hasn’t been a liability but there is some room for improvement. I can’t remember a more complete team. As much as I loved the ‘04 team, this team is better. Can’t wait to see the run these guys are gonna go on!!!

If someone would've told me in September I'd actually be a Gudbranson (and Zadorov) fan midway through this season, I'd be checking my cupboards to see what drugs they stole

Holy s***, Gaudreau is even 100% on faceoffs on the season. This is getting silly.

The Beast with two Backs turning the second line into new 3M as well as the top line continuing to dominate over 200 feet makes this team a force to be reckoned with.
Then add three d-men putting up 0.5 PPG and Tanev chipping in?
Sweet Jesus.
If Tree can add a scorer to help Monahan's line (and move Ritchie to popcorn duty indefinitely), look out.

Ruzicka is the funniest guy I've ever had the pleasure of interviewing in hockey. So thrilled to see him succeed.

I feel like I post this in every PGT, but this team is something else this season.
What Sutter has been able to do with the lineup, feels like pure magic. Getting the best out of every player, and there is buy in throughout the lineup.
Great start to the home stretch, and hopefully they are able to continue this.

If the flames convinced both Montreal and Seattle to retain on Toffoli and Eberle in separate deals would you do it?
Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Mangiapane - Backlund - Eberle/Toffoli
Coleman - Monahan - Eberle/Toffoli
Lucic - Ruzicka - Lewis
Dube + 1st for Toffoli 25 percent retained which is 3.1875 AAV
Valimaki + Pitlick + 2nd + Gawdin for Eberle 25 percent retained which is 4.125 AAV

I thought our second line had a great night too on both ends of the ice.
Coleman and Backlund generated a tonne of opportunities but weren’t able to find the back of the net. Mangiapane on the other hand, did.

I remember seeing you say this on Twitter then some random claiming to “work with him” said he was a bad guy and not liked by teammates… do you recall this and ever know where that came from? He seems like a good guy and liked by teammates from afar.

Gaudreau and Lindholm are 1 and 2 in the league. 4 of the top 10 (if you include ties) are from Calgary.

Johnny passing McDavid with a glowing +/- to boot would make this season the greatest yet.
Better than 18/19, even if they finish lower.
McDavid probably will veto-coach himself into enough minutes to stay ahead though. If we're being realistic.

I got a kick out of the NYI broadcast pre-game coverage.
Butch Goring was talking about how good Tkachuk has been, and said Matthew plays similar to his dad Keith did in the NHL during the 70s and 80s. Keith's career spanned 1992-2010, so he was only off by 2 decades. Goring played in the 70s and 80s, so you'd think he would remember if he played against Keith or not.
