Can't say I've even seen that before, a player getting 2 yellows on the same stretch of play.
Not exactly sure how the ref pulled that off, he really wanted his moment.
Didn’t he block a throw in and blatantly trip a player? Those sound like pretty routine cards.

Did you see it?
They're both legit yellows but were on the same play, so it's surprising the first foul wasn't whistled down and carded before the 2nd event could occur.
I'd have to see the replay to see if Oliver signaled he was playing the advantage on the first push, but seems unlikely since it wad well in Wolves half.

He did play advantage
5:00 mark for the start of the sequence.

Fair enough in that case.
I'm not one to excuse Arsenal red cards for no reason, I guess that's legit.
Still can't think of another time seeing that, pretty strange play. Glad they hung on for the win.

It's very much "letter of the law" versus "spirit of the law". However, consistency with the former would have dictated that play be called back for a foul throw caused by the initial push. It's not very often that all three pundits on BT Sport's post match commentary are adamant the ref unnecessarily got involved.

same procedure as every week: start well, get the lead, fail to score a second, then fade away and crumble under the slightest whiff of pressure. Such a damn fragile group of players.

Pretty good run of play from Saints of late earning five points from City, Spurs, and ManU in their last three Premier League games. Not that I wish injury on anybody, but I feel Forster is a better keeper than McCarthy and he certainly saved the game at the death today.
Wow, 4th place is going to be an absolute dogfight at the end of the season.
City seem to have this wrapped up, Chelsea have been stumbling but could put it together, but that 4th spot seems really up for grabs.
And the bottom 4 look like they're playing a game of musical chairs all within a few points of each other...who is going to be stuck in those spots when the music stops?

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
If Brighton had a decent striker they'd be a real threat for the final spot. Might shock people to know they have the fifth best defensive record in the PL, while playing that lovely football of theirs. Such an enjoyable team on all fronts really.

They dont create enough chances, last year they created and didnt finish, now they dont create
So even with the 5th best defensive record, in goals against and xga per 90, they are still 9th in expected goal difference per 90
They've also probably got the toughest schedule left in the league
United home and away
City away
Spurs away
Arsenal away
Liverpool at home
West ham at home
Newcastle look like they're more likely to finish in the top half than in the relegation zone. I still can't see the bottom three being anything other than Burnley, Watford, and Norwich.

They will be lucky to finish top half
In theory this does not look like an easy schedule. But then you remember United and Spurs are the two softest teams in the league by a wide margin. Arsenal and West Ham are liable to lose to anyone, way too inconsistent. Liverpool and City will obviously be tough, but the other ones are winnable.
