I guess he fact is my reference to blue box...it is how the Flames roll and in this case I openly admitted what I thought would be total disaster has worked out. NOW...and trust me on this...the Flames are dumb enough to hire this Sutter as GM again, you just watch.

Having said that I will admit that I thought hiring a dinosaur coach was right down Flames lane..it is how the Flames roll...they are the blue box of the NHL, the Flames recycle. BUT I will eat those words...without a doubt the old dog can learn new tricks and this Sutter has learned that there is more to hockey than defense first, dump and chase and thank you Kiprusoff.

Worse GM ever by a ton? Are you old enough to remember Risebrough? His infamous Gilmour trade? Buton's infamous Savard trade? Sutter isn't the worse GM let alone by-a-ton.

And the fact is this, if he was such a great GM how come no one lined up to hire him? I know why...he sucked.

Sutter had many years as a quality GM before he went down the tubes. The trades he made before the 2004 run were fantastic, and there were many more years where he made some great trades and FA aquisitions. Doesn't matter, because the fact is-he's an excellent coach, teacher, and motivator, and that's what we care about. That fact can't be denied.
Anyone have any trade rumours or speculation they would like to discuss?
