Reflecting upon Markstrom not being an all-star... makes one wonder about the purpose of an all-star game.

There is a reason players try and IR their way out of the ASG and that the NHL had to start imposing penalties. They love it, it makes money but fans and players largely want no part of it.

Backlund with 161 has pulled even with Peplinski. Otto next
Tkachuk with 131 - no movement, has a ways to go to catch Gio

Mangiapane with 65 is passing guys like crazy, Bozek and Lombardi passed today..Lavallee , Bennett, Chouinard, Hudler, Risebrough are next

Nothing particular the flames were doing either!!! Oh the horror, the horror. The Oil faithful are as blind and koolaid filled as they come.
To be fair, Oiler fans haven't actually seen what team commitment to defensively responsible play, rolling four lines, and having everyone buy-in to a high-tempo system looks like before. If you don't know what any of those things are, then you are probably mystified by what you see happening to Flames opponents.

Thing about that between the legs goal its not like he does it for no reason and passes up a higher percentage shot its actually the perfect time to pull it off there is not a better play from there. Totally fooled the goalie he wasn't even looking the right way.
I can’t give full marks to any team giving Brett Ritchie NHL minutes, but yes, this was a pretty comprehensive win. You can only beat the team on the other side of the ice and they definitely whooped em tonight.

With 2 minutes in a 6-0 game, Johnny absolutely busted his ass on the back check to break up a rush against and clear the puck out of the Flames end. That is the 2021-22 Flames in a nutshell. Loving this team right now.
