Should have been more. It's like he , Slewfoot Subban and Wacko Wilson from Washington just never learn that their schtick is getting old.
I guess if these guys want to continue funding the Wheel of justice (lmfao) eyeroll.
Also....Jarry downplayed the whole thing as a hockey play and showed complete class in not going over the top with a response.

It's a huge suspension considering Jarry wasn't actually injured, but yeah, it's a weak sauce from the NHL as usual.
Love Marchand as a player, but this clown show has to stop.

TV just focused on the first punch. The jab with the stick at the end is a lot more egregious and probably should have got more considering his history.

6 games is overboard, even for a repeat offender. That kind of #### doesn't belong in the game and that's why they're making an example of him but he's one of the best in the league for a reason and I respect his approach (in certain circumstances). It gets everyone off their game, he just needs to learn to hem it in so he isn't the one on the sidelines and leaving his team to pay the price.

Yeah I’m trying to figure out the breakdown… I feel like 2 for the punch to the goalie for a normal player, 0 for McAvi, 5 for Marchand with his record.
So only one for that stick? The no injury thing shouldn’t count when the difference between injury and not, is career ending or not. Deliberately sticking an opponent in the face is a wild act.

He's suspended for 17% of the remaining games. That isn't insignificant.

If its a couple games, Marchand is getting a pretty lenient multiplier for how often he’s doing crap like that.

I have been curious about something for a long time.... why doesn't someone literally beat the living #### out of Marchand???
If someone did that to my goalie in beer league he would be leaving the arena on a stretcher. I don't understand how he gets away with this ####.
