Has more to do with Vancouver having one player that is having a good season

Quinn hughes or JT Miller woulda worked. Anaheim could have sent Terry over Gibson. I know Terry was there as a last man in type of thing..

Maybe not Hart as Calgary plays a team game, but should be seriously considered in the Selke conversation. Did anyone ever have Johnny leading the NHL in +/-?? As of tonight he’s climbed to #1 on a sample size of over half the season (Flames with 3 of the top 6 in the category). Also, Johnny’s #1 in the NHL in Even Strength Points. He is fully committed to Sutter’s 200’ approach. Johnny Backcheck!

It should be Lindy for the Selke actually.

If Gaudreau was having this kind of year in an American market, especially a city like New York or LA... he'd be the Hart favorite by a mile imo

Even if he slows a bit and ends up with 35 goals, 70 assists and +55 or so... with his possession metrics... How is this even a debate right now? He might be having the most impactful season in franchise history. What he is doing 5v5 and the impact he's had on Lindholm and Tkachuk? I'm not sure I've seen this before or maybe didn't appreciate it enough. Even Iginla, my favorite player ever, I don't recall this level of 5v5 domination over a sample this large. Mind you, Tkachuk and Lindholm are better players than Conroy and McAmmond were. Even so, with how he's playing and looking at the schedule... I could even see 40 goals and +60 or more. And 70+ apples. It's ridiculous really. If nhl22 simmed this, you would complain the game was broken

It's pretty close. At the moment I have to give the nod to Joe Mullen in '88-89: 51-59-110 in the regular season, followed up with 16 goals in 21 playoff games.

But Gaudreau is definitely in that conversation.
