It must be pretty rare to have 2 defensemen on a 3-on-2 or 3-on-1 rush like that.

so that was a good time to have Johnny on the ice as it turns out, (late) PK in a tie game...he's had just over 2 minutes of PK time all year of which his two biggest games icetime wise are the last 2 including a whopping 16 seconds yesterday

acknowledging that he's improved his defensive play, but also in a tie game, as soon as the penalty is over- transitioning back to offense not retreating into a shell to hold on for dear life

worked out. his pass isn't going to make the highlight reel (in isolation) but a confident purposeful play instead of some random brain dead dump, or flailing hail mary to the exiting Kylington was really a key to starting it all

Kylington had just come out of the box, so he was technically a forward at that point. The 5 Flames on the ice were Lindholm, Gaudreau, Zadorov, Andersson, and Kylington.

The little delay and first pass to Lindholm instead of chipping up the boards when Benn was coming at him is a beauty play, sets the whole thing up and is a vid I will be showing to the kids.

That seemed like 3 passes too many, yet here we are. Love being wrong in this instance.

It was actually Hanifin distracting two guys against the boards in the corner.

Does he go for a change though on the way up the ice, and Zadorov comes on as the puck goes in?

Hanifin was the one that did the heavy lifting with 2 stars in the corner which gave Anderson the opportunity to chip it to Johnny.
