Coleman should just quit now. He’s won at life.

I personally didn’t love either goal allowed by Markstrom but there was far too many turnovers by the Flames. They look like they were half asleep that period.

Block his view of the puck from that far out? Was Andersson laying on the ice?

1st period down 2-1 after hitting the post 3 times:

Ughhhh they suck

Markstrom lets in a so-so one after 2 shutouts in his last 3

Ughhhh Markstrom, he sucks

Gotta love the "what have you done for me in the last 10 minutes" comments.

Maybe if you don’t wave off the obvious icing at the last moment after a team has had sustained pressure in the offensive zone, the team that had that sustained pressure doesn’t get scored on with a bunch of tired players on the ice

The way the puck came off of Anderson’s stick, it completely disguised that the puck was even shot for a moment. You know when they say Matthews has a deceptive release? It worked the same way.

This isn’t Brian Elliott or Talbot who literally were game breakers one game to complete and utter train wrecks the next.
He couldn't get eyesight of the puck fast enough. I'm sure not every goalie would've completely lose the puck in the air.

Markstrom isn't the Flames' main problem tonight (they finished the period with a 36.67% xGF%, their worst in ages), but he's not inspiring much confidence.

Do the Flames even have any rookies in the lineup? Maybe Ruziczka?

In this case he was telling the truth though. If someone has a hate-on like some on here have for Markstrom they'll ignore it though.

NHL shooters and NHL goalies. The NHL goalie needs to save that, sorry.

I love Markstrom but that was not deflected. And he should have had it

My problem with Markstrom is that it seems if he lets in a goal in the first he will let in 4 that game. If he doesn't he'll get a shut out. I just don't know which Markstrom we will get game in and game out. Obviously I am exaggerating, and the goals weren't Markstrom's fault, but I would've still liked him to have one of those shots.

The thing that kills me the most is the “your $6M goalie needs to save that”.

Our $6M goalie has 7 shuts, and is paid 7.36% of the salary cap when he signed it.

Kipper’s contract when he signed it? 11.6% of the salary cap.

Bobrovsky’s deal? 12.27% of the salary cap.

Markstrom is doing just fine, and also - check your expectations.

Ruzicka already has twice as many points in 10 games as Ritchie and Pitlick have collectively mustered all season.

Makes you wonder who else on the farm might be an upgrade on the Flames' extremely underwhelming bottom-six forwards.
