Haven’t we not won when trailing after the first ? Pretty sure we’re the only team in the league not to. Would be nice to end that tonight.

And he did. The first goal was a fluke and the second goal when off of his defenseman's stick.

He lost the puck and didn't pick it up until way too late. Much like like the second goal.

This is a good example as to why advanced stats don’t always tell the full story. Not much most/any goalie could have down with the circus shot on the first goal just supreme bad luck and the 2nd shot wasn’t his fault either. Sure they were weak attempts and low danger chances but they do turn into goals for teams sometimes. Extremely hit or miss is an exaggeration of sorts no? This isn’t Brian Elliott or Talbot who literally were game breakers one game to complete and utter train wrecks the next.

I keep wanting to believe in Markstrom but constantly let down. He has flashes of brilliance (just look at the shutouts) but he doesn’t bring big game confidence. This team needs the goaltending to be solid if they want a chance to win. The offence doesn’t have the ability to be run and gun. I hope he can step up his game but I’m just not sure at this point.

Scoring chances were 10-7 Stars
High Danger 4-1 Stars
Flames hit 3 posts and scored on themselves twice
must be the goalies fault for all the posters that weren't here on Saturday

Welcome to all returning posters not seen since maybe St. Louis or the Oilers before that.

I am sure Sutter will let him know

What are you on about? The Flames have won their last two games in Dallas.

I don't think it hit Anders stick, and even if it did it was far enough out he should have adjusted.

It definitely not only hit it, it hid the release.

It definitely did not hit his stick. Nonetheless it was a tricky seeing-eye screened shot through feet, and also a bad goal that Marky should have had.

I don't get the Markstrom hate either. Is he Kiprusoff steady? No. Is he just fine? Yes. A big improvement over the carousel we've had? Yes.

Imagine thinking that flying Francis out to Toronto for the broadcast is a good use of budget.

Double deflection on first goal, Andersson deflection on second goal.

Kelly even said it did. And as far as he second point you obviously have no clue how hard it is as a goalie to adjust to a redirected shot.

Made a pretty good (and depressing) point on how the Flames have league-low production from rookies.
