He only played 5 games since 2020-21. Wonder what kind of shape he will be in.

Seems like a pretty disciplined guy. I’m sure he’s fine.

You might be right, but this feels a lot like the Mike Richards termination, which ended up in a settlement, so there is some precedent.

Pretty sure Richards is still on the books for LA.

I was curious. Richards is on the books until 2031-32 - $10.5MM spread out over 17 years |

It was in December after his suspension ended and before he tested positive.

All five games were between the 11th and 18th of December.

Well, if it's me, I would've clearly state that it's "locker room cancer" spreading not "this cancer spreading". To be quite frank, how you word your original post was very insensitive to people here who either survived cancer, or have loss loved one to cancer. That's my feeling anyway, take it for what it's worth. Thank you.

I actually thought Kane would try to behave and put on a facade for a few weeks.
Dude is way more honey badger than I even thought.

This is going to be a disaster for them.

I think I'm most fascinated to see which oiler writers can keep their last shreds of integrity intact and are able to manage to hold back from showering him with their typical gushing praise.

This is a big test for them as amateur journalists.

color me surprised that at least Spector isn't buying what they're selling. Good on him. We'll see how quickly he changes his tune once he gets reprimanded for not falling into the propaganda line.

If the Oilers win a couple of games with Kane in the lineup, or Kane scores a goal or two, he'll immediately change his tune. Guaranteed.

"F####head teammates, amirite guys?"

"Right Connor?"

McDavid gives same nervous glance he did when finding out the Oilers won the lottery.

 Smells like BS.

Maybe there were a few other teams offering league min or 1M or something.

I never thought Holland was a great hire but I never imagined he would be this bad of a GM. I guess it's true after all that his reputation as a great GM was borne of inheriting Yzerman, Shanahan, Lidstrom, Fedorov, Larionov, Holmstrom, etc.
