I'm going to question the accuracy of losing 10-15 pounds of sweat during a hockey game for any player. There is no way that is even humanly possible to sustain....you would be on an IV for days if you came even close to that figure or quite possibly dead. I would say it is more like 3 pounds of sweat that could be lost at the most.

Goalies used to play back to backs all the time and are certainly far better athletes than most goalies 20 years ago. It's more based on mental fatigue, reducing wear and tear and giving backups a chance to play.

They are 26th in HD/60 for and 29th in HD/60 against.

Calgary if they're not tired should run the show five on five which brings it down to finish ... the Flames have top five metrics across the board, they're for real. But what is also real is the lack of finishing (changing this week). The Flames are 29th in HD for shooting percentage.
Are we 29th in HDS% after the last two games? What were we before that??

Man, I wish this team could get a do-over on the Florida-Tampa-Carolina swing.

The way they are playing now, I think they win all three.

Are we super certain Vladar is getting the start.

Pat Steinberg said it is likely. Best info I have seen to date.

Nah, they got dummied by Tampa. But they would have definitely beaten Florida, and Carolina would have been a toss up. The Tampa game was bad.

That being said, if they keep playing like this they’d beat the (normal season) Canadian olympic team, they’re en fuego.

Still 29th.

The sample size wouldn't move the needle that much, plus the Flames had a lot of shot volume in those two games.

Going into the Monday game the Flames had a 14.12% success rate on high danger shot attempts.

Now they're 14.49%, but still 29th.

Go Flames Go!!!

Blues fans were using their 3 games in 4 days to excuse the 7-1 loss. Would be awesome for the Flames to blow them out again in their 3rd in 4 days.

What's the league average? and where do you get these stats from?

One thing I am eager to see is the flames start. On the road, with a team you just faced that extremely motivated. Sure sounds like a scenario successful playoff teams are able to handle.

I'm not even saying a win is crucial. I am very curious to see the first period. The ability to come out, on the road and just "weather the storm", make the game boring, get the crowd quiet. I would really be happy to see this aspect tonight. Which is super valuable in a playoff series in my opinion.

Well, the point of a do-over would be they play like they're playing now. Not like they played in the TB game.
