I get the sentiment, but there really is a world of difference between when the Flames signed Bertuzzi, and what is happening with Evander Kane right now.

Add in the the Sharks are a better team by simply subtracting Player B.

This will be interesting to watch. I'm sure Kane will be on his best behaviour given he badly needs an income but even at his best he's still a negative add to their locker room leadership dynamic. At his worst he's going to start causing issues and maybe the final straw for McDavid. He's nothing but a hired gun that is there to score as many goals as he can in hopes of getting another payday which means he kind of doubles down on their biggest issue that McDavid and Draisaitl are all about goals and points ahead of team success.

Have a few friends that consider this the last straw. They have now switched over to cheering for the good guys. Will keep a close eye on the situation as former grease fans need to be monitored closely.

Is this a good thing? Not sure. But it certainly puts an exclamation point on E=NG!

Yeah, I can't imagine a guy like Kane is gonna come in and see the effort McAvi and Raisaitl put in on D and think to himself "You know what, this isn't all about just getting my points, I'm going to commit to a 2 way game".

Quick question that I am unclear on with Bitcoin. I am sure he like other players gets paid every game, so when did Bitcoin start it's decline and if his salary was $200K per game (just using round numbers for ease of discussion) would he not have been paid "x" Bitcoins each week, which would fluctuate with the value of the coin in comparison to real money. i.e., first week $200K = 3.08 Bitcoins ($65K per coin). Then when the price has dropped wouldn't he get equivalent again in week 8 $200K = 5.71 Bitcoins ($35K per coin).

I guess if he is getting all the money up front then he loses a lot of Bitcoins but if he is buying weekly then it changes. Hopefully someone can clarify this as I don't really understand the whole Bitcoin business (Old Bastard that I am).

You know, you grow up with a team and it's ingrained to cheer for them your whole life, especially if you still live in the city.
Even with how much they've sucked these many years, I still hoped for them to do well despite my interest lessening over the years.

This is the nail in the coffin. I refuse to cheer for them and I'm actually a bit shocked how many posters on HF Oil are supportive of the signing. That makes me hate it even more.

But despite all that, I can't cheer for Calgary either. Now I'll just dislike all Alberta teams.
