I think you have to go back to November for one of those.

When you're putting up 5-7 goals from your mediocre forward group, your goalies don't exactly have to be spectacular.
Of Markstrom’s 6 Shutouts, exactly zero have been stolen games.

In fairness, there hasn't been much competition over the years. But a real good fourth line can contribute in the offensive zone ... that was 88-10-21 to a tee back in 2018-19.

Ritchie and Lewis are black holes in the O-zone and they haven't made up for it in their own end.

The Flames would be well served to add another top six forward not just to strengthen their top end, but also to push one of those two guys out of the lineup.

Score flattered the Jackets. Not only because of the shots, but the Flames had a 5 on 3 and didn’t score on either penalty and then you have some posts where the goalie was cleanly beaten, Lindholm chipping a puck wide. 10 was within reach.

That's what you get when not one but two of your star players are in their contract year - great hockey games.

Got to love, and also hate contract years.

I think Brad isn't in a rush and it's completely on purpose. Why take away the incentive for these two guys to push that much harder night to night?

Dog gone, a Torts post game presser would’ve been fun after this one.

Missed most of the game, but it sure looks like the Flames are rolling. Love to see it.

We've won the last 2 games a combined 13-1 and scored 13 straight goals.
How have they not made up for it in their own zone or been an issue at all?

Very strange timing to go after them.

Caught the first two periods, very impressive display.

Gaudreau and Tkachuk are playing out of their minds. Monahan looked quite a bit more effective than earlier in the season.

Another effort like that tomorrow against a strong team out for revenge would be a very promising sign for the teams' playoff run prospects

I was simply responding to a conversation other people started.

At this point, the conversation needs to be who the Flames can get to add to this team. This is really looking like the year to load up. If it's possible to get a guy like Joe Pavelski, they really should. Pushing the existing fourth-liners out of the lineup would be just one outcome to getting a guy like that.

Pavelski is precisely what the Flames need, IMO.

Personally, I think they were gonna play well regardless. They were almost as good to finish off last season and there was nothing left to play for in that Vancouver series. I just think they’re both super competitive. They want to make a difference every game, every shift, every play.

If Treliving didn’t want to rush things, then, well, he did a bang up job because he’s got a tough offseason ahead of him with Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Mangiapane and now Kylington to deal with on top of trying to improve the team. He’s gonna get no sleep at all this summer.

So…

I follow Mitch Markowitz on twitter. He produced the Hilarious House of Frightenstein (and was also the character known as “Super Hippy”).

Earlier tonight, I alerted him to this board’s celebratory use of HHOF GIFs.

Here’s how the exchange went down…!

Incredible performance from the Flames. Honestly not sure what to even say. Just complete domination.
