People treat 2nd round picks like candy since there is an antiquated idea that most of them never play in the NHL.

But since 2010, it looks like at least 70-80% have played in the NHL. Even in the 3rd and 4th rounds, a majority seem to make at least one NHL appearance. For an example, in 2011, 23/30 3rd round picks made an appearance in the NHL and 27/30 players from the 2nd round appeared in the NHL.

The likelihood of them being star players is lower, but the chances of them making the big show at some level are very high.

Stylistically it'll be a repeat of the Edmonton game. Suck hard at 5v5, but amazing on PP... probably get timely goaltending from a struggling goalie this year (Binnington).

Don't take penalties and bury your chances, and hopefully Markstrom can make the saves he's expected to this time.

Playing a game in the NHL isn't saying much...need to look at how many play over 200 games or so.
