Nope. They need to bottom out as hard as possible - they’re building around as many of Wright/Bedard/Michkov as they can get.

Having a horrible year in Seattle, UFA pure rental but easy to re-sign at a reasonable rate, 30 years old, natural RHRW but can play all three positions. Lindholm's cousin?
Calle Jarnkrok would be cheap and potentially the missing piece on the middle six right side. #10 on Duhatschek's trade list at the moment.

The problem with adding Monny is that it cancels out a first.
They can get way better deals.

If we are going to spend major assets I would much rather go after a center or a right winger.
Instead of spending all that on Chyrhrun I would throw that at Scheifele or someone similar. Same can be said for a RH RW. We need to address our weaknesses and for the moment I dont think that defence is one.

I hope the Flames sign Felix Lafrance, a right handed right wing in the QMJHL. 50 points in 26 games. I think this might be the highest per game production in the entire CHL.
The same age, size, and league as Ryan Francis.

I am not sure where the value is here but Montreal could be a one stop shop for the Flames
To Habs: Monahan+Zadorov+Dube+Pelletier+1st+2nd
To Flames: Dvorak, Toffoli, Chiarot
Flames solve all their needs with this deal and add 2 pieces that are solid contracts with term left hence all the futures. Habs could flip Zadorov before the deadline again, thry test drive Monahan for a counselor back or he is flipped next year. Dube, Pelletier, and the picks are the reward for the Habs who are looking at a rebuild. Not sure if these assets are enough.
