He had a great opportunity at 15-30 created by an excellent return of a first serve and just couldn't capitalize.

I really can't believe people actually cheer for Zverev. What a bunch of donkeys.

Alright, welcome to a new episode of "who can double fault the least".

EDIT: I was worried I was going to be right there for a second but nope, the double fault on set point somehow wins?

How many times do you win a set with you commit 7 double faults? One of the 7 at 6-5 in the tie-break.

Shaky in the middle of the set, but played well to get the break and through the tiebreaker.

Also, huge props to Mannarino hanging in there for the entirety of the match, he easily could have retired against Rafa, but he displayed not only great respect to Nadal, but to the crowd as well.

Too early to get too excited especially with how Denis has been serving but if he can consolidate that'll be pretty big.

He's been very disciplined in his shot selection this match, which is WHAT I HAVE ALWAYS YELLED AT MY SCREEN for him to do. Really nice to watch. Not everything is going well but he's still winning because he's not trying to hit every line.

EDIT: Whenever he screws up the ball toss you just know a DF is incoming.

Well, I wanted to see two Germans pissy tonight, but it looks like I'll have to settle for one.

YES YES YES SHAPO. YOU ARE A GOLDEN GOD.

I mean I don't even care if he gets crushed by Nadal, that's a hell of a victory.

Fine match from Shapo today, but in my opinion he played even better against Opelka. At the end of the day, all that matters is advancing.

Yeah, that level won't be enough against Rafa. He is capable of winning that match, it's just going to take better serving than he's shown this week.
