You could probably try Dach between Gaudreau and Debrincat as he's got size and projects to be the type of center who can score and play physical.

A team that I would keep an eye on, should the Flames falter or the Tkachuk situation becomes an issue management wants to move on from; is New Jersey.

They are set at centre, and don't want to waste the prime years of Hirshier and Hughes.

It's not easy to pry an established young player (like Dach) out of a team and still get a "deal". I would take advantage of this with the Flames established player, Tkachuk, and cherry pick a blue chip prospect +.

Alexander Holtz + Micheal Mcleod would be a nice 'get' if Tre can't sign Tkachuk. Both right handed, Mcleod turning into a PK and defensive specialist in the NHL and Holtz has a very advanced offensive game.

Nothing to this speculation other than New Jersey being on the cusp, and could use immediate wing help.

That would be a horrible mistake. Flames need to get into a 3 way trade if he becomes available. Sutter would jez his pants if flames acquired Miller.

Debrincat will soon be very expensive, he could be moved for plenty of futures.

This team just moved Boqvist, 12th overall, 44th, and a 2022 1st for Jones and 32nd overall.

I’m not sure they are worried about trying to acquire futures.

And they didn’t seem too worried about salary with that contract they gave Jones.

Any pending UFA you acquire is a rental. You can negotiate with him just like Flames can with Gaudreau but you have no certainty. As for Sutter he is signed for one more year. Maybe we wants to coach longer than that, maybe not.
