Pure domination start to finish of one of the best teams in the league. Can we stop with the ####ing chicken little ####. We are not the Oilers. This is a good team.

We need another second line forward. But this team isn’t so far off from being a contender.

We just need Monahan and Coleman to be depth contributors like they were today, and make a 2nd line addition (ideally a finisher) at the deadline if possible.

Also having the whole team healthy and not suffering Covid after effects helps a little.

Thank goodness.

Really need to get on roll here. Lots of games in hand, but starting to fall quite a few points behind Vegas and the Cali teams. Need to start winning games again.

Pleased to see that Darryl had the guys working high-tempo practices to get over the COVID blues...they laid down a great beating today on the Panthers; tough, energetic, disciplined and supportive. All the things we love to see.

In Darryl we trust.

Is Monny back on the top line? That last goal was Tkachuk, Monahan, Gaudreau wasn't it?

They are three points behind Anaheim with six games in hand

I think that was a powerplay goal?

Said it after the Florida road trip that I’d be interested to see these same teams play at the dome as I figured the game would go differently. Backlund’s line really set the tone early and played real well against their match up tonight. What more can be said about the top line, they schooled the Panthers. There was no answer for them.

As great of a win as this looked, the top line was the difference. Still doesn’t change my opinion that this team is still ultra reliant on one line. Team needed this kind of win though, to be rewarded when there’s great effort and great investment put forth is very important. Looks like there’s still a Gaudreau and Monahan connection based on their reaction on the bench after Monahan’s goal. They’re probably still best buds and I’m sure Johnny wants to help get his best friend going.

Think it was just mid line change

Honestly embarrassed that my faith in him ever wavered. I should know better.

When things go to #### you can always expect he will take the group back to the basics, dish some pep talks with manure and grain metaphors, and crank up the tempo until they remember how to play simple, effective hockey that wins more often than not.

Darryl knows the blueprint. He's this team's greatest asset.

For the previous six games (including the wins over Chicago and Seattle), the team looked to me like they were short on gas and out of practice. Not surprising considering they had zero practices during the Omicron outbreak, and lingering fatigue is one of the most common symptoms.

If there's a silver lining to those postponed home games, this is it.
