Why is Prescott deciding to run, and run that far?
As Romo says, run 5 or 10 yards, does running 14y make a difference? It killed that extra 2 seconds.

I would have loved to watch one more play. Didn’t hate the run by Dak, you’re going against long odds in the first place and he was one second shy of a reasonable shot at the end zone.

He had to slide way earlier. You can't be trying to maximize yards gained in that situation.

I don't hate the idea of running and getting closer so you have a bunch of passing options when throwing to the end zone. But, that would also make sense if you had a couple shots at the endzone after that, not just one.
Regardless, tone deaf by Prescott to squeezing a few more yards when already walking a time tightrope.

But if you're going to do that you better know the rules. He gave the ball to his center instead of the umpire. Just a high risk, minimal upside play.
