Ep6 better be like non stop explosions, nukes, and PDC fire... not sure how they're gonna wrap all the plotlines up in an hour.

For Ep 6 I want at least 40-50 minutes of Insect Dog Jesus. Maybe save 10 minutes at the end for Filip's inevitable turn and betrayal of Marco.
Just kidding don't hurt me. Insect Dog Jesus doesn't bug me as much as it does everyone else, I treat it as a potential branch to the next series.

Just finished the last novel in the series. I enjoyed it, also couldn’t put it down.
For once in my life it’s fun to watch a tv show and see what is developing on screen and know what’s up. It’s also great to see all the people complaining about certain things knowing full well of the impact they have on the story.
As far as this sesson, I don’t really like the way that Inaros is being portrayed. He seems like such a pretty boy who spends all of his time in a barber chair getting his beard lines spot on.
That said - love this show and book series.

does anyone know why they only did 6 episodes for this season?
I have no idea how this is going to be wrapped up in one episode after watching episode 5?
its been such a great series... i am hoping that they are able to pull it off.

After watching the first episode life got busy so my wife and I couldn't start watching again until this last week, which is pretty sweet to be able to watch four in a row. However that makes the fact that we only get one more that much more bittersweet. Episode six better be non-stop to wrap as much up as possible and I hope above hope that we get future series/movies set in this fantastic universe that was created.

God, I want to love this show a lot, but something about it drags for me. Maybe I just don't really love space ####.

Boourns, reportedly Bezo's loved the show and that was why Amazon picked it up after Syfy cancelled it. Come on Jeff, bust out some pocket change and give us more!

I wish the lighting wasn't so dim. I feel like I miss some important things because I literally can't make them out. I get it, space is dark but I still wish they'd brighten things up just a little.

well it could be worse. they could be really obnoxious and do all the space scenes with no sound.
I do find the space battles hard to follow, but I think not just because of the limited lightning (which to be honest is pumped up already from how it would really look that far from the sun), but because the realistic physics dictates that everything is moving magnitudes faster than a bullet. there's no big slow moving photon torpedoes fired at giant stationary ships trying to broadside each other like galleons.
they can either please the core audience which is super nerds that really care about realism (guilty as charged), or they can do it Star Wars/Trek style and light it up like Las Vega Boulevard for broader appeal. but that crowd would just get bored anyways because episodes are 50 minutes dialog and 2-3 minutes of space, so might as well stick to their roots.

Always make sure to give Spacedock on Youtube a check, as he often does lots of battle breakdowns from The Expanse. Like the big one from episode 3 (spoilering the video link in case some haven't watched the episode yet):

The most recent one with the MCRN surprise attack on Medina was the hardest one to follow. You barely had any time to register what was happening to the either the Free Navy ships or the MCRN ships in that battle. Though, I guess that was the point they were trying to make from the perspective of the Martians.
Would have preferred a much more longer set of stationary shots like with Marco's assault on the ring from last season

I'm the opposite. Love space, so the show has a much bigger appeal.
Took a while to get into it though.

Anyone else watch the finale yet? Checked it out last night after it dropped at 12GMT.
I'm happy with how it all finished up. Would I have liked more? Absolutely, but considering the limited episodes they had this season I think they did a really good job wrapping things up, and still leaving threads that could some day maybe get revisited.
Oh and the list of names that pops up in this episode is the ultimate sci-fi nerd easter egg.
Book peeps (speculation):

Damn what a finale. The assault and drop onto the ring station was nail biting all the way down and they managed to wrap almost all the plot points up.
Was there an X-ray bonus episode for this one? I am going into withdraw and it's gonna be a long potential wait.

I sure how Ackbar and Riker made it!! Spoiler for size
Quote from the Expanse writers on the live show interview:
Quote:
Ty - Please don't be abusive to our friends at Amazon! They've been lovely for us. The fact that the show is stopping, at least for some amount of time, after season 6 doesn't mean you should go after Amazon. We love them over there. I would say wait and see. There's a lot of things happening that fans don't know about.
Dan - And that we can't talk about
Ty - Yeah, and we can't talk about yet. So if they could just wait and see, and we can see what happens.

I am going to answer your first question, as it is not a book spoiler. You simply have your planets mixed up. Laconia is not the planet from season 4, that is another planet through another ring called Ilus.
