Flames must think the only way to score on Murray is a 3"x3" spot in the top of the net. So many wasted shots high and wide. Meanwhile Ottawa getting pucks on net and 2 goals because of it.

They keep saying a good start for Calgary. Sorry, I didn’t see it that way. Pretty crappy first period if you ask me. This team needs a few less guys with stone hands!! We need a couple of guys that can put the biscuit in the basket!!

True, but really Zadorov was a goat on one goal but not the other - in fact he was taken out by a Flame, and Gudbranson played fine.

This is an old argument. If he can't play and is not contributing anything, why keep playing him? Is this team has absolutely no other options?

Things change. The season changes as the schedule progresses. Were the Flames perhaps taking advantage of teams who came into the season unprepared? They were certainly riding some hot goaltending and crazy shooting percentages.

Its not just that Backlund isnt helping offensively, he is actively hurting the club at times....and this team just cannot afford that.
