What Gets You in Trouble?
Trying to start one of these threads that goes on for a few pages. We all have our own kryptonite, leading to some kind of trouble. It's no necessarily a vice, just something that you might have had consistently bad experiences with. Alcohol, women, gambling, temper, personality, foot-in-mouth disease, sense of humour, etc. What tends to get you into the most poblems?
Mine is most likely alcohol. It tends to lead to alcholol-induced foot-in-mouth disease. Second on the list is probably my sense of humour. I also get a kick out of pushing people's buttons and watching them get mad but I've been know to do this at inappropriate times.

I also have foot in mouth disease minus the alcohol. I use to be much worse with it than I am now, and I too enjoy pushing peoples buttons sometimes, but I try and pick my moments. Biggest thing that gets me into trouble is women, especially at work. >.>

My buddy is the worst for that. We literally have to tell him "No, they don't want to talk to you at 4 a.m." He gets yelled at if we see him even reach for the phone past midnight.

I am astonishingly politically incorrect. Probably because I despise political correctness. Also, Hooters is my weakness. My friend is the manager, so thats my excuse. The wife doesn't buy it though.

Liquor. Well not just liquor, but "warm-up" or "pre-drinking" liquor. You know when you pound 6 beers before you go out drinking. That can be a recipe for disaster, or at least blank spots in your memory where you maybe did something disastrous but can't remember it. That's even worse.

When you've been married as long as I have pretty much anything can get you in trouble if you don't do what you have been 'trained' to do!!!!! Long time married folks will know what I mean......

I tend to be to "focused" on things, to the detriment of friends and other people (I tend to do something and let other things slide).
I also have to restrain my humour in most situations. I tend to be quite bad with my humour...

Would you have preferred a more graphic description? i figured it was a good way to put it for people of all orientations as all guys know, no matter how much we like to brag, it doesn't always work the way we want it to.

Yup, I'm completely with you on political incorrectness. Coupled with a nasty streak of sarcasm and a mouth that is quicker than my sense of discretion equals lots of trouble.

Careful now, we don't want him telling us the different ways the organ can be taken.

I like this thread. I'm like you (rubecube), I like to push buttons and while nobody tells me to my face, it gets them awfully annoyed. I also have the habit of playing devils advocate for no reason other than to debate. Sense of humor can be sometimes pretty dry which people may not get and it's taken the wrong way. Probably my biggest is making fun of people. If we're drinking and bored or something, even the most normal looking person will be laughed at.
