Man i took some time and watched all the highlights from today's games, wow was that ever a great round. Fa puts up all the highlights on youtube and there were some awesome games, too bad Barrow lost in the end was all. Now we just need some of the big boys to get knocked out or get drawn against each other in round 4/5 to create some hope and real drama down the stretch for a darkhorse winner.
Hope Laryea plays tomorrow for Forest that could be a fun watch in particular, just wish it was all on DAZN too.

I wish that we could get more of the games as well. It's too bad that Sportsnet has the rights and only shows one game in each slot. It becomes less of an issue in the next round (I think?) and as we get further along. But for this round it would be nice to be able to see some of these other matches.

100% man seeing games at non league grounds with big clubs in the early rounds is so fun. And sportsnet is such a brutal service we are stuck with in canada. Espn+ in the US offers similar leagues except way more stuff and is 6.99 a month. Sportsnet world is 17.99 with way less stuff. I need to get a vpn

Morecambe is up 1-0 against Tottenham at HT. Come on, you can do it!

That was a ridiculously bad performance from a number of players who should’ve been able to win comfortably. I have no idea how the scouts and Steve Hitchen have a job at Spurs. Today was a collection of almost all the recent purchases, a few of which were supposed to be playing for us when we were in Champions League. They were not only losing, but it was a terrible display.
I’d give a pass to Gil and Sessegnon as they were playing pretty well. I don’t think we need to ship all of the other nine out, but at least 4-5 need to be sent elsewhere somehow. Dele, Doherty, Lo Celso, Ndombele and Gollini should definitely be gone. Maybe Rodon, but I’m not entirely sure. I’d send Tanganga out on loan and go from there. Paratici has his work cut out for him, never mind Conte. Abysmal recruitment though.

they're saved by VAR here, but it's really mind-boggling that a team of Uniteds magnitude can be that inept at set pieces at both ends. Their own corners are tame AF, and when the opposition gets one you just know that calamity waits around the corner.
they even hired a set piece coach this past summer (from Chelsea IIRC), yet they seem to have become even worse. I don't get it.

Well the nose didn’t exaggerate, it’s bleeding. Also Shaw looking at him while he’s doing it, with the ball coming his way. Sorry I think that hitting someone in the face hard enough to draw blood in the box is a penalty

A bloody nose does not equal a foul.

No, but a bloody nose from an arm coming at a face while a player is going for the ball in the box, with the offending player looking at the fouled player and not the ball is a foul.

Does anyone know the fricking rules for use of VAR?
I don’t mean the rules as written, I mean the rules as applied.

Of course not! Nobody does! I've seen 'Magic 8 Balls' that are more consistent.

It's pretty shocking how poor the application of this has been. It seems like we've somehow regressed though? Like the initial application was terrible and we were waiting forever to get decisions. A lot of those decisions were questionable.
They made some changes for the first part of the year and now they seem to have gone back to the first iteration or something? It's really crazy.

I have to say I always hate when goals like Villa's today are called back for offside.
I know it's offside by the rule...but feel like there should be no offside once the ball is in the 6 yard box or something.

Could be wrong, but pretty sure Kylian Mbappe translates to Chris Wood in English.
