Harbaugh wisely using NFL leverage to get a fat new Michigan deal. I expect he gets something similar or higher than Mel Tucker got, like 10 years, $100 million.

Can't see it. I agree his is leverage to get more at Michigan. The guy lives in a house on the same street as Bo's family home. He's a king in that town. He's finally (apparently) got the momentum in the right direction. Being a college coach, even at his stratosphere, seems so much more enjoyable than the NFL gig.

College coaches are now routinely making more than NFL coaches, boosters want to win and will pay utterly insane amounts to do it (see: Brian Kelly and Mel Tucker). And Harbaugh isn't going to use another college job as leverage so the NFL makes sense as the leverage play.

Lots of rumours in Raiders circles that it's a done deal. He will probably get something similar to Gruden in that he gets 51% control and a nice salary. Nice timing for Fangio to get fired as I'm sure Harbaugh would like to reunite with him.
