I disagree with you, I don't think the other centers we have are better. Dube/Gawdin/Ruzicka/Richardson are not an upgrade.

Also knowing Monahan he will play through just about any injury, so I definitely don't want the dude to be in pain. The organization definitely needs to find a way to work with him on both footspeed and defensive awareness.

I think they provide very good value at their salaries.

…they aren’t paid like top pairing defencemen for a reason though.

The Flames are working hard, but they aren’t generating the quality of chances that Carolina is. The Flames just don’t have the skill to generate quality scoring chances.

Defense has been bad but Vladar has seemed to be out of position a few times that when he commits to the first save, he's not able to recover right away. Wondering if it was a poor choice to start him back to back.

He WAS a $6M player. Obviously he is still getting paid but it is clear that the injuries have caught up with him and he is a shell of his former self. I don’t think it’s a question of effort, just that his body is done like dinner. Won’t be surprised if he is bought out this summer if he can’t be traded.

Dude is having the worst season of his career by far. For a player who usually scores at least 25-30 goals/year, he's been a real disappointment. Starting to feel like his time as a Flame is quickly winding down.
