Like others have mentioned father/son stuff gets me.

Yeah, that was a close one for me and I know I heard people around me in the theatre sniffling.

Agreed. Incredibly moving show. Some of those stories are very sad.
And I watched Match Point last night. I almost cried when they killed Scarlett Johannsen off.

another one I thought of
Gone in 60 Seconds, where Angelina Jolie and Nick Cage are waiting in the car outside a house waiting for the occupants to go to bed and turn off the lights. They're talking about stealing cars, sex and starting to go towards a sex scene, then the occupants of the house go to bed and they just steal the car instead.
*pauses for a moment to wipe tears away*
I just makes me so sad that someone would toy with a man's emotions like that, imply that you're going to get to see Jolie naked, then take that away from us... it's not fair damn it!!!!

That's funny, I'm the opposite. Though most movies don't get to me, I'm still more likely to mist up in a movie than at something bad in real life.

I haven't cried for a while watching English movies. The last one was probably Braveheart. Infernal Affairs 1 made me tear up a little at the end.
If you guys want to watch something really sad you should watch Korean soaps. I guess it really sucks to be a woman in Korea because they all seem to get cancer and die before they hit 30. Plus all the girls are super hot!

I would get too distracted reading the subtitles.

I guess that just goes to show we're all wired differently. I've had to fight back tears at funerals for people who really weren't even all that close to me. But the saddest of movies doesn't stir up anything in me. I enjoy sad movies, but they certainly don't make me cry.

It's not out on video yet, but Pans Labyrith had me misty eyed at the end. It's a Spanish flick that was subtitled in theaters. The lullabye theme they play throughout is hauntingly beautiful too.
